A country tortured by years of systematic violence, with the history of genocide, the effects of which are still visible, but also with an immense desire of welcoming even those who still expect to find in it just death and diseases. I heard so much of this bullshit!
Differently from its "sibling" Viet Nam, where in 1993 I experienced severe distress, Cambodia left me with a unique memory. When I returned to Italy, apart from the thrill of seeing again the Italian Women, I had just one wish, that of returning as soon as possible to that country. If I only could, I would return there tomorrow!

Un Paese martoriato da anni di sistematiche violenze, un genocidio alle spalle di cui non sono ancora scomparsi gli effetti, ma un’immensa voglia di aprirsi anche a chi, stupidamente è convinto, che ancora oggi se ci si reca laggiù, ad attenderlo ci saranno solo morte o malattie. Ne ho sentite di queste stronzate!
A differenza del “cugino” Viet Nam, dove avvertii nel 1993 forti disagi, la Cambogia ha lasciato in me un ricordo unico. Quando rimisi piede in Italia, a parte l’emozione di rivedere le Donne Italiane, in me c’era un solo desiderio, quello di ritornare il prima possibile in quei luoghi. Se solo potessi, ci tornerei domani!
