Capaccio
Capaccio is a small city located in the Cilento (province of Salerno).It is very near to the famous archaeological site of Paestum and, in fact, Paestum is part of Capaccio municipality.
As many old cities, also Capaccio is divided in two parts: New Capaccio and Old Capaccio. The site illustrated refers to Old Capaccio and this is a very nice place to visit and absolutely out of the mass tourism destinations.
This place is full of historical and nobiliar buildings and some of them are uninhabited and can be visited.
People is very friendly and they can be very happy to show you the beauties of these fantastic buildings.
Walking through Its suggestive alleys is possible to admire the ancient porticos and courtyards. At the beginning of the month of August there's the popular show: "Open courtyards". Here, the owners of the houses, open their courtyards offering lovely food and local wine to visitors.
