The Human Side Of Nepal

Brief instructions on Nepal

Nepal is not only mountains or pashmina. Nepal is not only trekking.
Nepal is something else. Nepal is a nation where, if you want, you can meet and taste the true sense of life.
I went to Nepal in the far September 2001 to meet a man, now passed away, that will remain in my heart for all the rest of my life and his name was Eugene L. Watrin.
A Jesuit American missionary who spent his life with his volunteers to bring help with a mobile clinic to the poor people and to the children in ordere to help them to survive in the villages around Kathmandu.

Leprosarium of Pashupatinath

I did not expect to visit a place such a leprosarium. It is based in Pashupatinath, a little city not so far from Kathmandu and crossed by the holy river Bagmati. The site is directed by the noon of the sacre order of Mother Theresa.

Here I’ve seen and known people affected by leprosy mixed to people affected by other forms of illnesses with mental disorders or people that live here because abandoned by their families and orphans.
