I was home playing chess against the computer when I overheard the TV news reporting about what was happening in Mozambique. People hanging from trees, floating corpses, panicked expressions.
The reporter was telling about the events with the appropriate emotional involvement.
The weather was beautiful that day in Naples!

Aprile 2000 !
Ero in casa e stavo sfidando a scacchi il computer quando udii dalla tv la notizia di quanto stava avvenendo in Mozambico. Gente appesa agli alberi, corpi che galleggiavano, volti terrorizzati.
La giornalista raccontava gli eventi col coinvolgimento emotivo che la situazione imponeva.
La giornata era splendida quel giorno a Napoli!
